I (Amber) am in a place where I just haven't felt like writing for weeks...no blog...no email...no letters to friends. So much has happened to us in the past month that I'm still internally processing. And as all internal processors know...we just need time. Thus the silence. I'm sure I'll get back in the groove one of these days, but for now, I need the silence.
So instead of writing much, I'll just post some photos of life.
I would also ask for prayer. Our contact in Immigration says the girls' passports are supposed to be printed today. But he's said a lot of things in the past few weeks that have not panned out. We'll see if he is faithful to his word this time. If they get printed, we can get some needed information and apply for our US visas right away (which will take a few more weeks before we can have an interview). If they get printed today, the girls' Uncle Hillary will pick them up in Kampala and hold them for us until our return south. If they get printed today, we'll have reached another milestone in this long process. I'm trying to learn as Paul says in 1 Thes. 5:16-18 "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." If only it were easier to give thanks in all circumstances...but I suppose it takes practice and perseverance...and that cannot be learned without experiencing 'all circumstances'...the good, the bad, the ugly. So today, although I don't know if we'll get those passports, I'll give thanks.
